Strider

Strider Winston DeVon Curtis
Finally on the outside and in my arms
Two proud brothers
Dresden holding baby Strider
Logan holding baby Strider
The boys teaching Strider how to sit back, relax, and enjoy a movie
Mom loving on Dresden
Strider among the literature that gave him his name
Logan couldn't love his little brother any more
It's a miracle that he was able to fit inside me
All bundled up
Happy
Sad
Peaceful

What's in a Name

I'm thinking it's going to take me a few more days before I have the time to really put in a good posting of our new baby.  In the mean time, please enjoy this post by Larry on his blog...

Larry bought me a Flip camcorder a few years ago and I have never really used it.  I thought it would be a handy little devise to have at the hospital this week so I brought it to work and downloaded the videos I had on it.  I came across this one that was a reminder to me that my big boys weren't always the big boys that they are now.  This was taken back in 2007.

Lady

Dresden was watching TV while I was taking a nap.  When I woke up his cat had snuggled in with him and there they sat in the recliner watching TV.  I asked him if he was going to let his baby brother sit with him like this.  His reply, "No, I'll just let Lady sit with me like this."

Preparation

There's a lot to do to prepare for a new baby...get the nursery set up, buy clothes, diapers, bath supplies, thermometers, nail clippers, bulb syringes...the list goes on and on.

However, here are a few pictures of what I consider the most important preparations...

There is nothing better than having someone that can help with cleaning and cooking!

I have to admit, Dresden has been pretty amazing about helping out.  These pictures show a few occasions when he wanted to help and offered it without anything in return.  I did reward him with a huge hug and kiss after he vacuumed for me.  Although I don't have any pictures of Logan, other than the pictures of him cleaning the toilet a couple posts back, he loves to help out and is eager to please.  He too, is a big help.
